After over 30 years of pastoring in southern and central California, Pastor Bob has returned to his home state to serve Kilohana UMC.
He graduated from McKinley High School. Then he attended Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa, and Claremont School of Theology. P. Bob was ordained in the California Pacific Conference as a deacon in 1988, elder in full connection 1991.
He and his wife, Marlou Bella-Isip started at Kilohana in July 2022. They have been married for 11 years with two cats, Smokey and Lexie.
Pastor Bob’s leadership style is collaborative, community oriented, and contextual. His preaching combines current events, modern scholarship, and scripture.Â
His other interests include summer cycling tours on a recumbent bike; body boarding; hiking; watching University of Hawaii volleyball; singing bass with the Honolulu Chorale.
Marlou is from Cavite, Philippines, with work experience in the hotel industry, the Middle East, Germany, and the Philippines. She enjoys crafting, customizing origami cranes, home decorating, creating slides and videos for worship, shopping at Thrift Stores, and collecting vinyl albums.
