Led by Pastor Tevita Fatumea Moa, our Tongan congregation is very active, supporting the
Tongan United Methodist connection on Oahu and the outer islands. Their yearly events
include the all-week prayer and worship on the first week of January, their quarterly gatherings
with other UM Tongan congregations, the summer youth festival, women’s roll call event, and
Misinale (the annual fundraising event). The Tongan and English congregations worship
together every first Sunday of the month for Holy Communion; the Tongan choir offers an
anthem during these combined services. Normally the Tongan congregation worships at 2 p.m.
on Sundays.
